Gemini Film Circuit's producer of the remake movie for 3 Idiots in tamil as Nanban. It was super it movie in Hindi and casting by Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in the original. Shankar commited to direct his first remake movie and completed within short period. A. R. Rahman couldn't be retained for the project due to his busy schedules, Harris Jayaraj composed the soundtrack,with Shankar.
